ChrisPC Free Ads Blocker

Ads use up bandwidth, use up processing power, are distracting and annoying. To enjoy an ad-free web browsing experience, you need a specialized tool that can block ads. Romanian developer Cristian “Chris” Ciplea has one to offer: ChrisPC Free Ads Blocker. This is a tool that can block ads in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, and Opera Software’s Opera web browser.

The system requirements for running ChrisPC Free Ads Blocker are: 1GHz processor or better, at least 128MB of RAM, 10MB of free disk space, Windows operating system (any edition from Windows 2000 and XP up to Windows 7 and 8). As previously mentioned, the ad blocker works with IE, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

While ChrisPC Free Ads Blocker is running, it displays an icon in the system tray.
Double click the icon and you will be presented with the Settings menu. From it you can start the ad blocking process, stop the ad blocking process, set it so the application launches at startup, set it so the ad blocking process is automatically activated when the application launches, set it so the application blocks ads in all or in specific browsers (just Firefox for example), and set it so ads for specific languages are blocked.

Right click the system tray icon and you will be presented with a context menu that allows you to start/stop the ad blocking process, open the aforementioned Settings menu, open the About menu, and close the application.

Activate ChrisPC Free Ads Blocker and it will block ads in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, and Opera Software’s Opera web browser. It will block banner ads, video ads, rich media ads, and non-standard types of ads. By doing so, it will give you a more enjoyable web browsing experience and it will save some of your bandwidth.
